Bimbadeen Mountain Retreat is located at Mt View on 55 mountain acres with views of the valley below and only 10 minutes to Pokolbin, heart of Wine Country. Our home is built from re-cycled convict hewn sandstone blocks which were sourced from all over the Hunter Valley. We built it ourselves over 12 years and with magnificent leadlight windows and large oregon beams, it is looks as though it has stood on the side of Bimbadeen Mountain for a hundred years right here, in Hunter Valley Wine Country. We cater for couples and groups of up to 6 people we seek a complete and relaxing atmosphere, here in the Hunter Valley We combine stunning views, peace & harmony with beautiful views, birdlife and bushwalking.We have 2 deluxe B&B spa suites and a self contained cottage. Bimbadeen Mountain Retreat also has a limousine service: �Wine Country Limousines' and offer luxurious limousines and a Fairlane sedan for wine tasting tours where you can choose your own itinary. Your hosts Chris and Joe Taranto have lived in the area for 30 years so can provide local knowledge about things to do and see or book you into any of the local restaurants, day spas, hot air ballooning, horse and carriage tours or a mini bus tour. Daryl and Phillipa Heslop wish to welcome you personally to Stonehurst Cedar Creek, a beautiful part of the historic Wollombi Valley. Ours is truly a family run business. When you visit, you're bound to run into one of our sons or daughters - at the Cellar Door or out paddling in the creek with the grandkids. Our 550 acre property is a combination of vineyards, deer and cattle farm set against a backdrop of hills covered in bushland. As our guest, you are free to explore during your stay. Wander through the vineyards, take a bushwalk high into the mountain or along our tree-lined brook to the sandstone cellar door to enjoy a wine tasting. Since the original land grants in the 1820's, this farm has been owned by only two families. The descendants of George Goldsmith and John Howell (Napoleonic War veterans) and our family since the Second World War. Daryl has since designed and built the sandstone homestead, timber slab and convict brick cottages and sandstone Cellar Door. All encompass the stories and rich heritage of the property.

I provide a large cottage for holiday accommodation, with full kitchen, 3 bedrooms, and one bathroom. There are two living areas, sitting room with TV, dvd etc, and a nice peaceful sunroom. We are situated on a hill with views and an easy walk to the main street, pubs, shops etc. The cottage is very comfortable with two queen size beds, a twin room with two single beds. There is a separate toilet, a bath, and plenty of magazines to relax with. DVD's to watch as well.

At the 2006 census, Manilla had a population of 2,081 people. Manilla is famous for its setting as a fishing and paragliding area. The name Manilla comes from the Gamilaraay language, and is said to mean 'winding river'. Manilla was established in the 1850s at the junction of the Namoi River and the Manilla River. It lies next to the Bundarra-Barraba Important Bird Area which is important for the conservation of the endangered Regent Honeyeater. Manilla is also well known for Split Rock Dam on the Manilla River and Lake Keepit on the Namoi River. We especially enjoy entertaining glider pilots of all disciplines - both of us are experienced paragliding, hang-gliding and sailplane pilots and can help out if you would like to fly in the local area.
