Sonja's is a perfect home base for a visit to the fascinating opal mining town of Lightning Ridge, on the edge of the outback in north-western NSW.We have four self contained units with homely furniture, comfortable beds with quality linen and doonas. Up to 10 people can enjoy comfortable accommodation with a choice of continental or hearty cooked breakfast served in the dining area. You may also have the option of preparing your own breakfast in your suite. Evening meals are available by arrangement. From Sonja's B&B you are just a stone's throw away from rejuvenating in the therapeutic waters of the Hot Artesian Baths. Visit John Murray's Art Gallery and other local arts and crafts, or the fascinating Amigo's Castle and Astronomer's Monument. Kangaroos, wallabies and birds are plentiful on the opal fields just a short stroll from Sonja's. Try your luck fossicking for opal, and don't forget to relax on the balcony to watch our magical sunrises and sunsets.
