Contracted Spanline Coffs Harbour to erect the roof extension to the house balcony attached to a new slab, early 2016. Prompt on start date etc. Told them I wanted a top job done. Problems that arose as build progressed and was finished; Uprights and beams drilled far to large for the bolts, structure moved, upright dented, main beam incorrectly joined with too few and wrong size fastenings, Colorbond insulated roof exterior panels scratched in many places due to dragging flashing over roof, roof exterior covered in rust spots from cutting and grinding, roof fixing screws all had powdercoating and galvanised coating damaged because of screw down method, incorrect size and fitment of flashing, twice, and guttering joined when one length should have been fitted to start with. No fall in guttering.
Spanline in Coffs Harbour admitted there were numerous problems and blamed the contractor. I did not want the contractor back due to his attitude etc. What do you expect? It's a Spanline!!! I came to an agreement with Spanline regarding build price and rectified the problems myself. Jan 2017. Still waiting for replacement roofing screws. The problems arose because of the contractor not caring about the quality of his work. Not good enough Spanline.
