Just to say that dealing with Lisa and Steve and their installation team was a delight. Friendly and prompt service, excellent product advice at a competitive price and the job completed sooner than expected. Do yourself a favour and make a beeline to Affordable if you are in the market for screens, blinds etc etc.

Highly recommend Luke and his team. He supplied crimesafe and diamond grill security screens and doors as well as plantation shutters around our place in Bargara at a good price. The products are great and he went above and beyond to make sure the work was of a high standard.

Modern Window Furnishings
We had Luke install Plantation shutters and sliding security door in late 2022. Recently, we have had to contact Luke to assist us in adjusting the sliding security door (due to garage floor work), to which Luke was prompt and accommodating on rectifying the problem. We cannot recommend Luke highly enough for his professionalism, prompt and friendly service! We would definitely use Modern Window Furnishings again Thank you Luke!!

Need awnings and blinds?
Well, mate, when it comes to sprucing up your humble abode in Bundaberg with residential awnings, you're absolutely spoilt for choice! As the sun beats down on us all summer long, these practical beauties protect our favourite outdoor spaces from the heat. But before we go full pelt, let's make sure we're all on the same page about what awnings are.
Simply put, an awning is a type of secondary covering attached to the exterior wall of our homes. It's typically made from tough materials like canvas or vinyl that's stretched tight over a lightweight frame of aluminium or iron. These nifty contraptions shield our windows and patio areas from Australia's intense sunlight and unpredictable weather patterns.
Now that we’ve got the basics down pat let’s chat about some types you can get. For starters, if you fancy something traditional yet stylish (& who doesn't?), "retractable awnings" might be your cup of tea. They offer great flexibility - pull them out when you need shade and retract when you want to soak up some vitamin D - easy as pie.
On the other side of the coin are "stationary awnings", standing their ground in all seasons - rain or shine! Custom-built for specific areas they cover, their robust design ensures they don’t bat an eyelid come hail or high water!
Then there are "freestanding awnings", a wildcard entry into your backyard. They play by their own rules - offering shade wherever you place them. Fancy a shady haven right smack in the middle of your lawn? No worries; freestanding has got you covered!
In short, adding an awning to your home isn’t just a walk in the park – it’s strategic business. It revolves around understanding which type scales up with your needs and tastes while also matching your home aesthetics! So whether you're chasing shade or style (or both), residential awnings have got something in store for everyone!
