November 2020. After several phone calls to NADIM and emailng a detailed account with photos of an already diagnosed cracked cylinder head in my Sprinter Motorhome, I made a 300km detour north to VOLKS CENTRE in Cairns. Before setting out, he assured me they "Could fix any problem".
Arriving early in the morning, after only minutes he handed me back the keys with a bill for 'diagnosis' ($180) and told me to return the vehicle in three weeks and be prepared to leave it until the parts were sourced and the work done AFTER Christmas.
Cost would be seven seven to 8 thousand dollars but possible more.
I told him it was my HOME and I needed it repaired immediately, regardless of cost, but I soon had the impression that he JUST DID NOT CARE and seemed to be taking some kind of sadistic satisfactio in my pedicament.
I struggled on down the coast towards South Australia and had the repairs done properly on the way at little more than half the price.
Beware! I was scammed!
Following a service at this business it was identified that my vehicle needed a new transmission and clutch. I was informed that the vehicle would be roadworthy in two weeks time. Two weeks later I drove past the business and discovered that my vehicle was still parked outside the premises. A telephone call confirmed the repairs on the vehicle had not commenced. I was informed that it would be ready the following midweek. I again drove past the premises the following Wednesday to find the vehicle still parked outside the premises. Following numerous telephone calls and stating that I would be contemplating legal action I was reassured that the vehicle repairs would be prioritised. Ten days later I was advised that my vehicle was ready. I am a 73 years old pensioner who, during the period in question, had to rely on family and friends for transport. I would advise anyone seeking an efficient, professional and competent service to look elsewhere rather than utilise this business.
