Such a lovely relaxing rural break. Total contrast to the coast and The Daintree. Like Bowral but in FNQ! Clean and spacious place, friendly staff and peaceful atmosphere.

Was nice little roomy cabin and will be going back too stay 2-3days. I'm from Atherton so I enjoy the rainforest. If I don't get too the rainforest then I'm either out bush or at the beach. Thank you staff at Kuranda caravan Park.

We (3 families - 6 adults and 6 children) spent a week at Poinciana Lodge in mid-December and had a lovely time. The home was able to accommodate all of us with ease and without ever feeling like we were on top of one another as there are numerous living spaces, both indoors and out. During our stay we found we rarely had to use the air-conditioning as the house has good cross-ventilation and lots of ceiling fans. We generally only turned the air-con on to cool the children's rooms down to get them off to sleep and then switched them off later in the evening. David, the host, was very helpful in greeting us on arrival and showing us through the property. There were beautiful floral arrangements, a welcome hamper plus a 'starter pack' of items in the fridge such as milk, butter, bread. Great apartments, only downside is the distance to the restaurants

Lived in these apartments for 4yrs under two different managers both very good at what they do. All facilities and the grounds are well kept. Whenever there was an issue usually fixed within the week, if emergency fixed the same day. Great place to stay very central to JCU University. Would recommend to anyone wanting to stay in a nice comfortable place close to the uni for affordable rent.
