About Coffs harbour

Coffs Harbour is a coastal city located on the north coast of NSW about 540 km’s north of Sydney and 390 km’s south of Brisbane.
The town owes its name to John Korff who sought shelter from a storm there in 1847 and by the early 1900’s the area had become an important timber production centre with the historic Coffs Harbour Jetty still standing today.
“Coffs”, as it is known to the locals’ is a modern city with trendy cafés and restaurants, galleries and museums and a thriving business and retail centre. It has small town atmosphere and the main hub from which to explore the Coffs Coast’s enormous selection of things to see and do.
Whether it’s discovering the World Heritage listed Dorrigo National Park in the mountains, basking on the stunning pristine beaches that ribbon along the Coff’s coast or relaxing in a quaint cottage hideaway in the Hinterlands, Coffs Harbour has a world to offer.
