About Cairns

A regional city in far north QLD, Cairns was founded in 1876. Located approximately 1700 km’s from the states capital Brisbane, and posing a warm balmy tropical climate it is an extremely popular travel destination for foreign tourists and Australians alike.
The railway trip to butterfly-fringed Kuranda Village in the rainforest is where you can hop on the cableway, or simply enjoy a boat cruise, or for the more adventurous Cairns opens up the roads for the trip to Cape Tribulation which is one of Australia’s most impressive drives.
The Reef Casino boasts a world of entertainment housing an all weather wildlife exhibit encased by a 20 metre high class dome on the prominent roof top. It is an immersion experience where the birds and most of the animals can roam free within the confines of the large aviary enclosure. The Cairns ZOOm takes this to a higher level by having visitors experience a challenge Ropes Course at different heights within the Dome so that birds and tourists can interact, appreciate and be educated all in one.
