Our room consisted of a double bed, a nice little bathroom, a bar fridge and kettle with tea and coffee options, a small tv and lots of cupboard space, all for $60 a night. 2km's out of the esplanade of Airlie, yet it was beautifully quiet. The staff were very helpful with any questions we had, and always had a smile on their face. The aircon worked a treat, and loved the block out blinds as well, we drove for a long 14 hours to get to Airlie, and the first thing we did when we arrived was have a sleep at around mid day. Its a convenient spot having woolworths just around the corner, and lookouts and other attractions just nearby. We would definitely stay here again next time we are in town.

WOW what a fabulous place to stay, its perfect and a great price for people visiting without transportation, having the bus stop right outside the motel to get you into town, and the boats for the island trips (5 mins away). Tell everyone you know about this lovely spot in Airlie, take the kids as well they have a great pool, all rooms air-conditioned, have told some friends and they will be staying here soon.

It`s a short drive out of Airlie beach central and in the right direction. Towards Shute Harbour and the local airstrip for sea planes and choppers. The marina in town is a short distance. Local buses pass by, and the Jubilee tavern is a short walk. Retreat is the right name for this affordable and fully serviced accommodation. Hosts are very pleasant. It`s a nest. Will definately be coming back in the future
