Glow Church was founded in early 2013 on the Gold Coast (Australia). At the launch service on April 28, 2013 there were 350 people in attendance and 14 people made a decision to follow Christ. Joel and Ellen Cave felt God clearly speak to them about creating an environment where people could encounter Christ powerfully and be around people that stood out and shined. In October 2013, Glow church moved into their very own facility located in Varsity Lakes. Moving into this venue within 6 months of starting the church has been an incredible miracle and the favour of God has been very evident. The new venue is a very modern complex with a large two level auditorium, expansive designated kids spaces and contemporary office spaces. The new cafe and foyer have been designed with people spending lots of time together. The church has its foundations built around Matthew 5:14-16; �You are the light of the world. A city on a hill that cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in Heaven.� The leaders at Glow Church are committed to seeing people discipled, inspired and encouraged. Committed to seeing people impact their world, living a life where Christ is evident in their family, workplace, university, school, sports team, everyday interactions and lifestyle. Glow Church is a member of the Australian Christian Churches (ACC, formally known as AOG) which currently has over 1,100 churches in Australia and all our Pastors are ordained through this movement. This story is only the beginning, but since the commencement of Glow Church, hundreds of people have already found home and many found Jesus for the first time. It is exciting to see what adventures are in store for Glow Church over the next few years.
