About Affordable Dental Care

Affordable Dental Care provides dental care for patients throughout the Whitsundays. We welcome new and previous patients. We offer a range of dental treatments including general and cosmetic dentistry, dentures, bridges, crowns, veneers, root canals, teeth whitening, wisdom and general extractions. We also have dental hygienists on staff who are dedicated to educating patients on how to achieve optimal oral health, providing preventive care treatments and periodontal therapy. Affordable Dental Care is located at Whitsunday Plaza CENTRO (next to Bendigo Bank). We are positioned within a busy shopping centre and have conveniently positioned onsite car parking. We are a HICAPS health service practice, accepting all private health insurances and are a HCF preferred provider. We also facilitate treatment through the Child Dental Benefits Scheme and Veteran Affairs.

Dr Nick Shepherd is fantastic at what he does! I took my four year old son in for a check up & Dr Nick made any anxiety & apprehension disappear as soon as we walked in through the door. Brilliant with kids & can not recommend him highly enough. My son said he wants to go back soon - winning! 🙌🏽👌🏽

We were visiting the region on holidays and I had to have a filling replaced that had fallen out. I was very impressed with the service hereâ€”the person at the front desk, the assistant and the dentist, Gabrielle was friendly, very caring, efficient and professional. I was very thankful for their care. If I lived in this area I would definitely make this my preferred dentist. Julie

Best dentist i have been to ever! The customer service from the lovely lady at reception was fantastic, she managed to squeeze me in for an appointment the same day i called, and even managed to rearrange to fit me in the next day for treatment, due to being in so much pain, i could not wait.. Gabrielle did my root canal which did not hurt at all, she was very gentle and reassuring making me feel very comfortable. Thank you so much to all the staff, i will be highly recommending you.

Had an amazing experience here, i just love the ladies here, they are exceptional ! They really do go above and beyond for you and I'm so glad i took someone else advise and came here ! I will not be going anywhere else from now on, and a special thanks to Gabrielle and Loren for your care over the last couple of months and for all the great advice which was all in my best interests! It truely is about the customer, and dental care that is affordable which is a nice change ! Very pleasant to deal with.

My kids loved it here, the staff were so friendly and helpful as well as great with the kids. Even Mast 2, had no problem with getting his teeth checked.

I would recommend Affordable dental highly ! I am not a fan of dental visits, but this team make it fabulous. Appreciate you fitting me in on short notice on afternoon last month for a tooth mishap ! Thanks so much to Gabrielle and Loren for staying back and fixing my tooth ! Much appreciated :)

These guys are fantastic, i have had a fear of going to dentists for years until i came to Affordable Dental Care. They make me feel very relaxed, and they are very patient with me. All the staff are wonderful, and they walk you through everything before proceeding.
