This is my experience with Lane Ropes Swim School, Southport: I was happy with my child's lessons with Dana. Unfortunately, when I queried being charged for Australia Day when the swim school was closed (I referred the manager to the Terms & Conditions I joined the school under and having consulted Fair Trading Queensland), she kicked my son out of the swim school. She said she would refund that lesson together with my prepaid lesson fees on that same day. The refund was eventually received 10 days later, after I had sent further emails which were unanswered. I would like to point out that a "make up" lesson was offered, but my child had other activities. One at 7am on a Sunday morning at a completely different venue, which was incidentally more than twice the distance farther from our home than the Southport venue. Having had this experience, I would just like to make new and existing customers aware of how things are run at this swim school,¬ď also that the T&Cs have recently been amended (without advising customers).
